This artwork The reeds aims to illicit a feeling of looking out to the river, through a dense patch of reeds growing just at the river’s edge. Bovill is interested in creating artworks that invite the viewer to imagine being a small creature amongst these plants – like an ant looking up to the reeds as if their sky-scrapers.
