This artwork Lets rest here was inspired by a photography walk Bovill took along the banks of the Merri Creek in Brunswick, Naarm. Bovill was struggling with connecting to nature living in a large city – she took her camera to the Merri creek looking for connection and inspiration. This painitng marked an important moment for the creation of this collection, sparking in Bovill inspiration and drive to continuing exploring what was emerging. The title represents sitting down to rest on a log along the river before continuing on the journey.
